Pluribus S01E03

A random episode with no concrete plot line, but I found it so funny that they gave Carol a grenade, and she thought it was fake.

It seems like the Hive Mind people would do anything possible to make Carol happy, even if that means she requests an Atom bomb and decides to use it on them? I'm not quite sure why they're so desperate to make the non-Hive Mind people happy - is it so they would gain the trust of Carol + others and eventually agree to their plan of integrating them with their weird virus happy-life system?

I liked this episode, but it definitely felt like that one chapter in a dystopian book where they're still introducing the world's concepts and allowing the MC to discover the random new things. It's kind of fun exploring along, but I still can't quite see the direction this would go in. Though I suppose that is fun in itself.

I do feel that I'm leaning in the direction that Carol and Zosia would probably end up becoming partners (I'm willing to bet my money that it might end up romantic or close to it, at least), and Zosia might go against the other Hive Minders somehow. Zosia just feels like too important a character. I would love to see an episode on her backstory.

Did anyone also think that the scene with the guy in the hospital was supposed to be some sort of allusion to how AI can be super placating? When he started explaning how he would list down the pros and cons of Carol having access to Atom bombs and how he was really struggling to say a simple no all I thought about was how sugar-coated AI can be when you ask it to go over your content.

Looking forward to the next one!
