In a World of Labubus, Choose Maltese Puppy
I am not a fan of the recent craze of Labubus, as you can tell from the title of this post. I have a small number of friends who like it, but for the most part, it's fair to say most of my peers and family think they look creepy.
I wanted to share a little on Maltese Puppy by Moonlab Studio, who I believe are from Korea. I've been loving their sticker series on Telegram. It's officially (I believe) only available for LINE users, in which you can support them here.
Maltese, is as you expect, a Maltese species dog.
But... there's also Golden Retriever! He is Maltese's partner in crime, and I think he is also equally as cute.
They are of course hopping on the blind box train as well, though where I'm at, stuff from PopMart sells way better than random IPs like these.
Interestingly, they have a cute little idle game where you act as an Onsen Owner and you can employ both Maltese and Golden Retriever as your workers, along with other cute animal characters. I own the game and played a few hours of it and it's definitely a cute thing to leave in the background.
I've also been using their monthly desktop wallpapers (they also do tablet and mobile) which I find them motivating to look at during early morning lectures and work sessions. You can find them on their Japanese website here.
Note: I'm actually not 100% certain on the gender of the characters. Mainly basing it off some of the official Chinese Maltese Puppy accounts' captions. Though I hope that I successfully convinced you that they are cute and better than Labubus.
